Three things to check before buying

The shared preorder pack

The Vintage offer contains a classic sedan with garage access, character styling and a weapon design. Qualifying Standard purchases get it too; it is not a reason by itself to pay for Ultimate.

The subscription offer

US PlayStation’s one-month GTA+ offer renews into a paid subscription unless canceled. Its listing gives March 31, 2027 as the redemption deadline. Read the terms for your own platform.

Your format and account

Check your platform, account region, code restrictions and the retailer’s refund terms before paying. A box does not imply a disc. Buying Standard and upgrading later need not cost the same as buying Ultimate upfront.

Is GTA 6 Ultimate Edition worth the extra money?

Our take: choose Standard if your priority is the main game. Consider Ultimate if its specific vehicles, customization and additional activities appeal to you. The verified US PlayStation price difference is $20; that does not establish the price of a later upgrade.

Is the Vintage Vice City Pack exclusive to Ultimate?

No. Rockstar offers it with qualifying orders of either edition before November 20, 2026. Confirm the offer on your regional checkout.

Does a seven-day preload mean seven-day early access?

No. Preload lets you download ahead of release. The store lists November 12 for preload and November 19 for release; it does not advertise seven days of playable early access.

Can I buy Standard and upgrade later?

Yes. Rockstar supports a separately purchased Ultimate upgrade. Boxed-code buyers must redeem the base game first. Compare the actual add-on price before deciding to split the purchase.

Does the boxed version include a disc?

No. The announced physical Standard package contains a digital code. Choose the appropriate platform and check regional redemption terms.
